Next week, in celebration of World Book Day, Coruña British School will be having lots of fun and taking part in a variety of activities.
On Monday the 29th, Janina Ivaldi will be reading us stories from the editorial Edelvives.
On Tuesday the 1st, we are very fortunate to have lots of wonderful parents coming in to school to read stories to their child’s class.
On Wednesday the 2nd, it is Jennifer Rope’s turn to read us the story: ‘Guess How much I Love You’.
World Book Day
On Thursday the 3rd, it is World book day and we will have a special celebration. Everyone will come to school dressed up as a book character. Who will they choose? We can’t wait to find out!
The author and illustrator, Cristina Ayala will read us her story ‘Un rincón de palabras’ and the children will find out more about the main character, Lupita.
We will also have a mini book fair. A variety of English books will be displayed in the hall and the children will have an opportunity to look and read them. After school, parents will also be able to have a look at the books which they can also order.
Visit from the author, Xabier López Mateos
To finish this special week, on Friday the 4th, we will receive a visit from the writer Xabier López Mateos. He will present his first five stories based on the character Cancodrilo. It is a series of books with the following titles:
- Cancodrilo vai á escola.
- Cancodrilo na horta.
- Cancodrilo pinta.
- Cancodrilo aforra.
- Cancodrilo na granxa.
The illustrations have been done by Javier Rey Feijoo and Silvia González Sánchez.
We are waiting to find out about all the adventures the crocodile experiences with his friends. The stories express values such as friendship and respect.¡
