Having completed the Secondary stage at 16 years old, students at Coruña British School will continue their education in the Sixth Form, the British equivalent to the Spanish Bachillerato stage. Whatever future path our students decide to take, our objective is to prepare them to confidently and successfully embrace the challenges that lie ahead of them.
Students at Coruña British school will get the opportunity to choose from a wide range of subject options that will be on offer at A-Level, and which will prepare students for entry to both Spanish and International universities. The subjects on offer at A-level will be designed to enable pupils to access a wide range of degree level qualifications at the best universities throughout Spain, United Kingdom, the United States, Europe and the rest of the world.
At Sixth Form level, we aim to provide students with the necessary support, guidance and skills to achieve their personal and academic goals and to move on to higher education or their chosen career path. Language will continue to play an important part in the curriculum and pupils will be able to participate in events such as the NACE Model United Nations, arts events and academic conferences and competitions designed to encourage stimulating and innovative interaction between students.
Our Sixth Form students will be given all the support and guidance that they need to help them to make informed choices regarding university courses, open days and future career options. The Student Guidance Department will provide questionnaires and psychometric testing to help students discover which courses and careers might best be suited to their particular skill set, academic strengths and personal ambitions. Whatever our students decide, we will ensure that they are well prepared.
