CBS collects more than 2,200 euros with the 2019 Readathon
Coruña British School says goodbye to its Book Week by ending its Readathon, which once again highlights the solidarity and involvement of CBS families. In recent weeks, our students have read so much that they have collected more than 2,200 euros for the NGO A.I.R.E, a non-profit organization with which they collaborate regularly.
We hope you will continue to promote reading at home as you have been doing up to now. It is so important in this new world of constant children’s programming on television and tablets, that we do not let our love for the written word slip. The evidence is clear, that reading is consistently found to be the bedrock of academic success. But also children who read, and are read to, are able to fly, in a moment, to a new and exciting world that their imagination has had an essential part in constructing.
Thanks to all the educational community for your effort and collaboration!
